Wind
Ridge Farm is a fruit and vegetable farm in New
Melle. We're celebrating it's 20th anniversary!
We grow peaches, blackberries and blueberries.
Most are bought by u-pick customers, however,
peaches and homegrown vegetables are sold at the
stand, when they are available. Honey is
also sold at our farm.
It's
picking season now. The crops are very good
this year.
The farm is open as often as there is ripe fruit.
We announce each day as soon as it is apparent,
on the
website, www.windridgefarm.net
and the Picking Hotline at tel. 636-398-8181.
Tim
Ezell from Fox 2 broadcasted live Monday, July
28. He covered blueberry, blackberry and
peach picking. We were very happy to host
his crew. The phone rang quite a bit that
morning, and people came from all over the metro
area to pick. If you'd like to see a video
of some of his visit, go online to http://www.myfoxstl.com
Peach
season runs through Labor Day. Backberries
run through August. Blackberry picking is
just 1 to 3 days a week and are not always available
when the farm is open. Blueberry season
is almost over.
