Peoples Savings Bank Opens 6th Branch in New Melle

On July 13, 2011, Peoples Savings Bank announced they have received authorization from both the Missouri Division of Finance and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to open a Peoples Savings Bank branch in New Melle, Missouri.

New Melle is located in St. Charles County south of Wentzville, east of Lake St. Louis and northwest of Defiance. New Melle is adjacent to State of Missouri owned Busch Wildlife.

Peoples Savings Bank will occupy space at 30 Muhm Center in New Melle. This was a location used by a large regional bank which pulled out of New Melle during the peak of the economic downturn.

Mark Laune, CEO/President of Peoples Savings Bank stated: “The loss of the existing bank in New Melle adversely impacted the community. Peoples Savings Bank is committed to “small town USA”. The necessary equipment is being ordered as well as remodeling of the facility will occur. A September opening of the new branch is being planned. We will probably open the Bank; let the staff get used to the new Bank and a grand opening celebration will be planned to make sure everybody knows there is now a Bank back in town.

Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting at Visiting Angels Sept. 21

Visiting Angels will hold a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at their new office location, 202 Triad Center in O’Fallon, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011. The office is located in the Rizzo’s Shopping Center off Bryan Road (in a separate building to the left as you enter the parking lot.) Visiting Angels provides in-home assistance to seniors and has been serving St. Charles County and surrounding areas since 2009. Services include meal preparation, errands/shopping, hygiene assistance, light housekeeping, respite care for families, companionship, and up to 24-hour care if needed. Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting at The Gun Shop Sept. 24

The Gun Shop in New Melle is under new ownership and will hold a Grand Opening Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The New Melle Chamber of Commerce will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. The public is invited to stop by for the ribbon cutting or anytime throughout the day. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
The Gun Shop is located at 4648 Hwy. Z, across from the car wash. Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Peoples Savings Bank Plans Mid September Opening in New Melle

The Peoples Savings Bank plans to open its new branch in New Melle by mid-September. The exact opening date is dependent upon installation of communications equipment, but is hoped to occur on or near Sept. 12, 2011. As previously announced, Peoples Savings Bank will be located at 30 Muhm Center in New Melle, at the location previously occupied by Commerce Bank.
In recent weeks, the interior of the facility has undergone some remodeling, and exterior improvements to the building, drive through, and parking lot have been done.
